I stare down into shallow water. Thru wooden slats, this pier will not collapse But those words could sink us both. Those words could sink us. That boy still gets you high. That boy still gets you. Tell me there's no static when we speak. Connection dropped, I keep getting shocked. And those words could kill us off Those words could kill us That boy still gets you high. That boy still gets you That boy still gets you high. That boy still gets you

Didn't you know the ocean is broken. Drowning the beaches, encroaching the sand. Didn't you know the ocean is fighting a war with the land. Didn't you know his tact is practised. Mirror rehearsed he's Thurston for Moore. Didn't you know his tact is polite for -show me the door- So where you start is down to random luck. But you can't blame yr friends for where you end up. Catch you sighing but I won't ask why. There are no great endings, there is no good good bye. Didn't you know the joke is the choking, everything ends and all we are dies. Didn't you know the joke is the lands are choking the skies. So where you start is down to random luck. But you can't blame yr friends for where you end up. Catch you sighing but I won't ask why. There are no great endings, there is no good good bye. Didn't you know the ocean is broken. Drowning the beaches, encroaching the sand. Didn't you know the ocean is fighting a war with the land. I It's where you start.

Don't go spending that Christmas bonus just yet. Mind us looping these fairy lights around yr neck. Last in the chain breaks. Brakes on the last curve, fail. We are not the champions, and this is not the end. We are not the champions, and this is not the end. At least not for me. Policy: we're scrubbing the search. I'd advise you to save yrselves and desert. Shark fins on shorelines. Lines you were so sure, failed. We are not the champions, and this is not the end. We are not the champions, and this is not the end.

Alan at the window staring down into our tiny lives. We smoke and we survive. We are advertising sunlight, selling space. And every plot that we sell off soon turns to brick and blocks that little bit more sky. They shine spotlights in our eyes and we are blinded. Cameras in the courtyard spying down into our tiny crimes, our cute transgressions ride. We lie startled in the strobes of other lives. Tell me that there's something else. Tell me that there's something else. But don't preach a lie. Don't preach a lie Her hair is two colours. And her heart is in two pieces and her body's in two minds just to quit it. How everywhere she glances, awkward couples staying stranded. Lying shamelessly together. Lying silent but awake forever. Tell me that there's something else. Tell me that there's something else. But don't preach a lie. Don't preach a lie

Stuck between stages, we are stranded on a rock but if you listen to the rock music you get seasick. I guess we stick with what we know: I bring speakers to the show. I push the volume and Holly push the limit but don't let them see you cry. We sleep thru earthquakes, wake to metal scrapes and barrier breaks to limit pushing but Holly push the limit. Well I don't care who flips the switch or who the cables trip. I pull the plugs away and someone push the limit but don't let them see you cry. Don't let them see you cry.

There are islands in yr eyes, your irises are coastline wide. Adrift on these calm coral seas, o please just let me drown here. And these feet walk the Queensway in their sleep. There are islands in yr eyes, your irises are coastline wide. Adrift on these calm coral seas, o please just let me drown here. There are islands in yr eyes, your irises are coastline wide. Adrift on these calm coral seas, o please just let me drown here.
